Not Verizon... They call you and they don't know your name, they don't know your phone number...BUT THEY CALLED YOU!!! If it was really Verizon, they would know who they were calling. Also, they're telling you that they are returning a call because you were having problems. If you'd actually did not contact Verizon, why would you want to give your personal information to a person that says you did, that's ludicrous.

I first received text messages telling me that I was qualified for new phone upgrade. I text replied for them to stop texting me and they still tried to call me from the 1 800 number minutes later. I read the detailed scam alerts, so I didn't answer the call. Scam.

This is legitimate. They called me back after I reported a technical error I was having that had to be escalated to supervisors in technical support and stated clearly they were going to call me back. They never asked my name, or for any personal information. They immediately identified themselves and got right down to business fixing my issue. Never, ever asked for any information about me, my phone, nothing. They had everything ready to fix my technical problems.

They are scammers that use Verizon's own text msg verification system against them. they order phones online and have you read back the verification text and buy a bunch of phones and have them sent to themselves under your account. Do Not Read Back Any Text.

This is a spoof caller. The number is Verizon's number but beware the caller. NEVER give info if the call is inbound, unless of course you were expecting the call and trust the caller. Even caller ID will say it is Verizon Wireless. Please protect your information, all of it. If you gave information including your name or just your address before realizing this was a scam of sorts, please call Verizon to notify them and so they can put an alert on your account.
