They said they were from Verizon and needed the codes they texted (Scam call) reported by


They said they were upgrading my 4G to 5G and needed me to give them the security codes Verizon was texting. They used the codes to get into my account and change passwords, pin, billing address, and put my calls on call forward so I didn't receive calls. Fortunately I caught it quickly because I felt it was a suspicious call so I tried to log into my account while he was still on the phone an my password didn't work. Very professional scammer.

I received and automated call stating that my Verizon account had been suspended. The call gave me two options to press 1 to verify or 2 to talk to a representative. I pressed 2 and was asked why I had called in. I stated that they called me, the representative immediately started asking me for personal info. I hung up and called Verizon they verified that this was a spam call.

I hung up on a scam. Caller mumbled something about Verizon having suspended my account due to fraudulent activity. He has a thick foreign account. I could barely understand him. He repeated it 4 times. It doesn't make sense. If my account is suspended then why does my phone work? Verizon would never contact a customer in this manner. JUST HANG UP.

This number called twice consecutively. I sent the first to vm b/c caller ID said “TOLL FREE NUMBER”. They called right back so I answered and got a recording stating they were Verizon and my acct was suspended pending verification, press 1 to verify or 2 to speak to a cust svc agent. I pressed 2 and was disconnected. I immediately opened my VZW app and started a chat with an actual agent. She said my acct was perfectly fine and noted the scam call.

He identified himself as Verizon stating someone named "Murry" had tried to order $8200 worth of devices on my Verizon account and wanted to know my login to help me "reset" and protect myself. I hung up & blocked but DEFINITELY sketchy.
