I got a call on my work cell that my Verizon number was about to be cancelled. When I pressed #1 to speak to a live operator they wanted details about my zip code and telephone number. When I told them that this was a work Department of Justice cell phone and that I suspected this was a scam, they told me to "suck their balls" and hung up!

A computer voice stated that my Verizon account had been suspended. I was in the Verizon office when I received this call. It was fake.

The call came through as I was hanging up after taking a legitimate call. I do not take calls from unknown numbers. This was one of those rare times when a call comes through as you are disconnecting the call you were just on. I was taken by surprise and so was the caller. I couldn't hang up fast enough but could here the caller saying my FULL legal name, repeating it and then say something about my Verizon account. I disconnected the call and heard nothing else. Voice was male and was speaking clearly but had been taken off guard by my answering so quickly and it was a live caller. I did not say one word but I think I was saying goodbye to my friend when the caller started talking. Just can't be sure how the connection was made.

Miss Led - STOP THIS SCAM ARTIST!!!

SOMEONE FROM THIS NUMBER CALLED ME ACTING LIKE THEY WERE FROM VERIZON AND TOLD ME THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN HACKED AND ASKED ME FOR THE PERTINENT INFORMATION REGARDING MY ACCOUNT. SEEMING LIKE IT WAS A LEGITIMATE CALL I GAVE IT TO THEM ONLY TO CALL THE NEXT DAY TO VERIZON TO FIND OUT THAT THE INITIAL CALL WAS TO OBTAIN MY INFORMATION. BUT THESE PEOPLE ALREADY KNEW A LOT AND SEEMED LIKE THEY ACTUALLY WORKED FOR MY PHONE CARRIER. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM AND IF ANYONE CALLS YOU SAYING THEY ARE FROM YOUR PHONE CARRIER HANG UP AND CALL YOUR PHONE CARRIER FOR YOURSELF.
