They called and claimed there was a $1000 transaction made on my account. I don't have a citibank card. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I called Citibank and they couldn't find an account for me, however they still wanted my SDD# which i did not give.

Called pretending to be Citibank. They started with a message saying that fraudulent activity may have been found on my account, a charge of $1,498. Press one to dispute. I pressed one (mainly out of curiosity) and spoke with a man with an Indian accent. He asked me for my info, and I told him "you called me. You should have my info if you know what charges are on my account". After pressing him, he abruptly hung up. Scammers are clearly calling from cloned numbers to lull you into complacency. Be aware!

This is a phishing scam and they are doing everything they can to mask that they are trying to get your information by pretending to be an actual bank up to and including changing their caller ID to show as the bank's name. They have even gone as far as setting up a phony website. I answered the call and then called my bank and they verified that this is not one of their phone numbers and is a fraudulent phishing call. Do not pay attention to this phone number do not give them any information. Always call the actual bank of an unsolicited phone call. Never answer a call that you've received directly. Always take the extra step and go around the back door to verify your account.

Scam call: from (800) 374 9700 The number is (CITIBANKONLINE). The voicemail was a recording saying I had a charge of $1498 on my account, and to press 1 if it was fraudulent. Woman asked my 4 digits SS, I said that I am login to my account right now, she hanged up.

I got a call from this number and it said Citibank saying I had a possibly fraudulent charge of some $1400 to my account. It said press 1 to talk to a representative - when she answered and asked for my account number I decided to hang up. I called the number on my credit card and was told no such charge had been made to my account.

Couple minutes ago, I received exact same phone call and mentioned same amount of money has been charged to my account, and I do not have a CITI account at all.

What is strange is I decided to call Citibank myself and when I told them the phone number the Citibank rep said it IS INDEED one of their numbers, so this scam somehow is using a verified CITI customer service number. Watch out!

Lady with a heavy Indian accent claiming unathorize use of something? She kept asking was in your Card or Checking?...I asked you well which one you called me. Asked me 3 more times your Card? I replied YES, I guess this is NOT the answer she wanted to hear. Because she hung up on me. First of all I do not have a Citibank card, account period!
