I got a call from this number and Caller ID said Citibank Online. The voicemail was a recording saying I had a charge of $1498 on my account, and to press 1 if it was fraudulent. I called the number and spoke to Citibank and was told that there was no such charge, either on my credit card or to my checking account.

Same thing happened to me. I googled the number and it comes right up on top. But I checked with Citibank (why would they ask for my SS*, ATM* or account*?) and the call was a scam.

The same thing happened to me today, 4/19/2021, with I think a very similar amount, but I asked the guy what my name was because the sound in the background reminded me of scams. He gave me a name that was not my name with Citibank, I had truncated one of my first names years ago, and gave me the truncated name, which is not the one I have with Citibank.... I called that same number and it was Citibank??? They transferred me to Credit cards, but the connection was dropped. I called the number on my credit card and they told me there were no suspicious charges nor in the checking account. This is a case for the FBI.

Same here. I noticed that it was a fraud when they asked me to open "teamviewer". Fraud, scam, hand up and block the number.

The number is Citibank's, but scammers can disguise themselves by making this number appear on your phone. If in doubt, get the caller's name, hang up, and call back.

This is a verified by me as a phishing scam. The number does not exist in Citibanks phone number catalog according to Citibank themself. These people are doing everything they can to mask that they are trying to steal your money and information up to and including changing the caller ID name and making a phony website.
