Automated call stating I had an unauthorized charge of $1498 and to press 1 to speak to Fraud Dept. Did not press 1 so the call disconnected. Contacted Citibank who stated no such charge on my account and since all calls are recorded they show no record of me being contacted.

This number called me pretending to be Citibank. I thought it was odd that the person could barely speak english and their phone had so much static like they weren't using a landline. I know my connection is strong. I just hung up and called the bank and say it was BS. coincidently the rep at citibank had a very thick accent as well lol which also made me think i called the scammer back lol anywho don't trust these people. hang up and call the bank yourself

I used to have accounts with Citi Bank, and I must have stored the number. However, I no longer have an account with them, still have a credit card that hasn't been used for over 10 years. I took precautions and let them leave a message. When I listed, The message wasn't completed, and only I heard "dispute". It sounds shady that tried to have me to call back. I'm glad I found this page and everyone said it's a scam call.

The caller ID read Citibank but the recorded message was about fraudulent activity with a Coinbase account. It is a phishing scam. The same call/message left last month with a Coinbase number on the caller ID several times.

I have received several calls in recent weeks from this Citibank phonenumber which is not currently being used as per Citibank. Someone is trying to fool Citibank customers under the guise that " there has abnormal activity on your Citibank card ...". They spoof the Citibank but when when the unsuspecting customer clicks from a menu, they are automatically connected to a fraudulent party trying to gather your personal information. If you receive a call from this bogus don't panic just hang up. For piece of mind go home and check your Citibank accounts on your home computer. These criminals are getting desperate.

Caller ID claimed to be Citibank ATM i received an automated call stating a large purchase had been made on my account and Citbank needed to verify it was me. Press 1. I was transferred to a loud call center. A man with a thick Indian accent answered, I hung up and googled the 1800 # which is indeed to citi-online but my phone record indicates not citi-online but rather a cloned/spoofed # scam likely.

Just got a call from this number, reporting I had suspicious activity on my account for a large amount. When I was asked if I authorized this, I told the gal that I couldn't understand her (accent was thick), she then hung up on me. I called back and spoke to 3 reps, all of them not seeing this authorization. Spam call from the Citibank number.

Recorded voice tells me there was supposed fraudulent activity on my account for $1498. I don't have an account. (These calls have been coming in over last two months.) Advises me to press 1 to be connected. I immediately get connected to what sounds like a call center. An individual with an Indian accent begins to ask me questions; when I resist they hang up.

I also received a call from this 800 number telling me I had a transaction of $1498 initiated in Indonesia. The guy asked me to provide my debit card #, I refused and I was asked to provide my birth date. I didn't feel comfortable with the call. I hung up and call Citibank. I was told by the customer rep that the phone# was not Citibank phone #.
