It is BoA for security alert. HOWEVER, to be safe you dont have to answer them. You can just hang up and call your BoA card or your from monthly statement. That was I just did.

Be careful! They called me and asked my Driver Licence number and my BoA online ID. My cousin works in BoA for 3 years and he told me BoA representatives never ask for sensitive information like online ID or Driver Licence number. It was totally scam! BE CAREFUL!

Git a text message saying my ATM card is locked due to suspicious activity and asked to call their number. I didn't call. Later I got call from the same number , I attended, the recorded message confirmed my name and asked to enter last 4 digits of my SSN. I felt this is fraud.i hang up and called BoA and they confirmed that was a fraud call.

Called saying there was an issue with my back of America account, then listed the last 4 digits and stated it was a MasterCard... I don’t have MasterCard and those were not the last digits of my card, but nice try though.

I got call from 844 585 04xx, missed it but voice call said its from BoA and claimed about reporting frudalent activity on my card. and guess, its didn't looked normal as my wife who is primary card holder had got 2 SMS about same transaction on hold from Microsoft Store which she didn't and responded to SMS to reject. and 2 days after this scammer somehow got the info(its serious that how he/she got info about it and my number) and called me. I asked my wife to check the mail, and no such mail activity report. So I checked BoA website > contacts section and it had different number. I called them and they confirmed they didn't called and in their database above number has been marked as scammer representing BoA. and I got advise from her, for any credit card you must call from back of card number, which is guaranteed to never go wrong. so my advice to those who marked this as positive, 1. check website and call, 2. check back of your card and call rather than getting scammed for genuine voice. may be scammer is too smart to leave a positive trail on call directory to promote the number as BoA representative!!!

I had an online purchase oversea yesterday, and then I got this call today. They said they are from Bank of America fraud prevention department. They had my name and last 4 # of the card I used yesterday. Then they ask me to verify my online ID (didn't ask about password), and then they want some info from my pasport which made me super suspicious. I hang the phone and called BOA myself. Staff from BOA told me that they would only ask for some verification information, but never about sensitive information such as something from Passport. Staff from BOA told me it's a scam call. Be careful folks.

Called me, said suspicious behavior on card. Asked for standard confirmation ID info -- last 4 # of SSN, my name, but then asked for CC #. They called me so they should know the #, not have to ask for it. SCAM behavior to me.
