FAKE BoA fraud call (Scam call) reported by


Had fraud transaction after ordering online, received a text from Bank of America verifying I was attempting to use. Next morning I missed calls from this number , message said my account was on hold due to fraud. It was all automated when I called back wanted my last 4 of SS number, security code on back of card. WAS TO WEIRD, so called the bank and was told they did not call. Dont give them any info. Bank will never ask for these things.

I received a text from 39989 "FREE TEXT": Bank of America has temporarily restricted the use of your debit card #(last 4 numbers of my debit card here) due to unusual activity. Call 844 585 0485. To Opt Out reply STOP. I didn't recognize the number I was texted from, so I called the bank directly, and my card was temporarily restricted like the text said. We reviewed some recent transactions and the restriction on the card was removed.

Fraud dept verifying debit card cancellation from day before (Scam call) reported by


Debit card was compromised and canceled with new one being sent. This number called the next evening asking to verify name and last 4 digits of SSN - said card was cancelled and something about a digital wallet being opened. I said no to that..and said I’d call back and don’t want to give info over the phone. It sounded legit but was a different number for a BofA fraud than I called day before. Be careful!

At first I thought that this was a "phishing" call, so I went online and didn't see any Alerts. I called BofA and found out that my Debit card was being used online for purchases that I didn't make. I'm getting a new card soon. Real call from BofA!

Call to phone number on your Credit Card and ask them about 844-585-04xx. They will tell you 844-585-04xx are scammers!

Scam Bank of America Fraud bogus number/link urgent fraud email (Scam call) reported by


I received an email stating fraud detected on my B of A acct. This number was listed in the email with a link to call what was supposed to be B of A Fraud division. I clicked the link thinking i was calling B of A. They asked for my phone password and i immediately hung up knowing it was a scam. I called B of A and they said there was no fraud and to send them the email. SCAM
