Caller ID shows up as Capital One. Says he's from Visa and Nastercard. (That doesn't happen.) And he can lower my interest rates on all my cards. Heavy accent. Definitely a scam.

Scammer called with a heavy accent and said he was calling from capital one credit services asked if I was familiar with experian and wanted to know how much my credit debt was so they could lower my interest rates and did I know I was paying 39% I told him I don’t pay interest and he got lowder and asked again how much credit card debt do I have. I hung up on him and he called me back. To amuse myself I answered again and he promptly and rudely asked “why did you hang up on me?” I asked him why he wanted to know how much debt I owed and he said he could see I owe $4000. I exclaimed “Four thousand dollars??? Are you serious!!! “. Then he hung up on me.

got a similar call today but no accents detected, I was listening for them. Call shows as "Capital One" and this number is in fact a number for Capital One but this is a scam. When they asked for the account number but said they were with Experian, I knew this stunk like last weeks fish. Called Capital One, they were not really too helpful but did verify it was a scam. BE WARE OF OFFERS OF LOWER INTEREST FROM OUT OF THE BLUE!

This is NOT Capital One calling you; it's a scam to get your $$. I played with them for a while just to see how far I could take it and they finally figured out I was messing with them. You can literally hear people in the background saying " Microsoft Services" and "Amazon Services". Indian call center earmarks. I don't have a MC so I knew it was a scam. Play with them! Have fun ruining their day! I love doing that.

Probable scam. Said from Experian re "Your Master Card account" and lowering my rate. I stopped talking and he hung up after asking if I knew what Experian was and I didn't answer. Don't have Master Card.

the caller identified himself as being from Visa Mastercard. he wanted to lower my interest rate and he said the incorrect interest rate. I told him I wasn't interested and he told me he wasn't selling anything. I hung up.
