Illeqal Do Not Call violating sales call by "Capitol One " scam caller violating the law to a victim who has nothing to do with and wants nothing to do with Capitol One ..which is now "Capitol Last" for such a scam call.

Some woman with an Indian accent called me from this number. It said "Capitol One" (which is my bank) on the Caller ID so I answered it. However, the woman didn't mention that she was with Capitol One and only said she was from "Card Services". It threw up a red threw up a red flag that it was a scam when she said she was with "Card Services" and also didn't call me by name. I hung up and I'm going to block the number. If Capitol One needs to contact me they can email me or let me know on the app that they're trying to contact me. I'm not messing with stupid scammers! They can all go jump in the lake for all I care!! ????

Woman with heavy accent called claiming to be from "card services". talked about lowering interest rate. I explained that it was not a good time to talk and asked for a number where i could call them back. She mumbled something i couldn't make out and then hung up. The number in the call id came up as Capital One. Called the number back, it does belong to Capital One. But they have no record of contacting me regarding my credit cards. Definately a spoofed number spam.

Foreign gentleman who did not introduce himself or who he was with, but caller id said Capital One. He told me he could lower my interest rate on my credit card, he then asked what the pay off was on the card. I told him I didn't know and that he should know that and he immediately hung up.

Credit card scam. An Indian guy started asking me about how many credit cards I have and if I wanted to lower my interest rates. I asked if he was calling from Capital One. He said, "We are Financial Services and we cover all credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express". That's when I understood this was scam and hung up.

scammer knew my name and account number, but refused to say what the call was about. unless I gave DOB and other sensitive information. capital one doesn't ask for this information.
