this is how they make outbound calls. Don't assume it is fake. If this is from an inmate you know, don't mark this as fake or scam. Just cause you don't like the person calling doesn't mean this phone number is bad.

Somehow they ARE using this number to make robocalls. The number was spoofed. I do not know anyone in jail or prison and I have never given my number to use on ANY pay for calls accts. NOT everyone "hates" or knows someone in jail or prison and these calls really are spam and scam calls.

for me, it was a legit caller. Not fake. Someone I know, and haven't spoke to in years, had called me using this inmate outbound number system. My number was the only one they remembered since they usually rely on cell phone contacts. Don't be so quick to assume it is fake.
