Beware this caller. It is NOT the legitimate customer service. It is a fraud, trying to get you to buy some HP service by using your credit card number. This is a PHISHING EXPEDITION, do not give out credit card numbers and certainly do NOT let them get remote access to your computer. HP customer service never calls you with a virus problem or any other problem. YOU are the one who should call the HP customer service number that you were provided with when you bought your product.

I am a retired AT&T specialist. Here's what I found: This is most likely a spoofed HP number, meaning that the number displayed on your phone is not the actual number calling. They are a scam outfit making believe they are HP customer service, so they spoof the customer service number in an effort to fool you. Then they either want credit card numbers to "update" your coverage, get control of your computer in order to remove a non-existent virus, or some other such nonsense. Some of these gangs have up to 20 people making calls to the U.S. every single day, so don't be surprised if you get calls over and over again, especially since there are literally hundreds of such gangs in operation. Unfortunately, U.S. phone companies refuse to eliminate these calls because they get millions of dollars from such operations since every single call made by anyone anywhere in the world must be paid for. After they get paid for the calls, the phone companies charge you extra for call-blocking software or service. They play both criminals and victims against each other, making a huge profit. Canada has made some vast improvements against this type of collusion, but we haven't. Not yet.

Said he was from HP Tech Support. I don't own a HP. He kept insisting I did. Told him if he didn't stop I was going to have the Special Forces come find him. He kindly told me **** YOU.I told him sorry I wasn't **** and maybe he could ask his brother Ahmad to **** him.

I just spend over a half hour and was forwarded to 6 different people before I could get anyone to understand that their system is robo calling my number. Only after threatening to file a formal complaint with the FCC did anyone say they would put me on a do not call list. I've received calls every day for the past 5 days from this number!

They claimed to be from Hewlett Packard and told me that my HP was downloading malicious files on my computer and they wanted my serial number on my computer. They were going to show me how to fix the problem. When I told them I didn't have a HP, that I had a MAC he said YES - your Mac. I told him I was going to call Apple and find out what was going on. I called Apple and they told me this was a scam, don't ever give your serial number of your computer.

This is the number I called for help with my newly purchased HP computer from QVC on 3-5-17. I was having issues with it and this is only the third time I have used it. I called the number for HP warranty service (being this number). I also purchased the 3 year extended warranty for 89.99. total coverage. if you do not use the warranty for 3 years you get your money back. it's on their website... judge for yourself... make an educated decision...do your reasearch... ( this is not directed to anyone in this feed. I do not read others reviews other than a quick scan of the "stars" ratings...
