I am pretty sure this was an actual fraud service call. I called my bank after talking with them and even though none of the charges went through I stopped my card and got a new one. But anyways this number seems okay.

I got a phone call from this number earlier this week and ignored it. Then I got a text message: FreeMsg: "My Bank Name" Fraud Dept. 8003694887 did you attempt $70.00 at WM SUPERCENTER with card x"last 4 digits"? Reply YES or NO. Case # to Opt Out reply STOP I checked here and the results were mixed. I called my bank and it is legitimately from the Visa Fraud Center checking on a potentially fraudulent charge. Because there are similar scams out there always call your bank directly to verify rather than responding, but this is the phone number for Visa's Fraud Dept.

Called VM, left case number (Scam call) reported by


Called left VM with case number and message saying they wanted to check possible fraudulent activity on my bank acct. Checked my acct, no unusual or large debits. Called them back and gave them case number. Rep could not pull up any info against the case number and asked for my bank acct number. Why would they not have that if they had detected fraudulent activity on the acct? I told her no and called my bank. They checked my acct and saw no suspicious activity. They had me hold and called the number . They did speak with a rep who said they had no record of calling me. Very strange.

When I Called my bank, they never heard of them. The number was identified with Awakon credit union in Michigan so i cancelled my credit debit card. Still not certain if it was legit or not.
