Robo fake AT&T call (Scam call) reported by


Asked for last 4 of social and pin number. I have Verizon and they said it was AT&T. I gave all fake numbers and afterwards the robo call disconnected. I returned the call and was answered by AT&T. I was told they are aware of the scam. It's called spoofing. Not everyone contacted by this # are getting scammed. AT&T is advising everyone to hang up and contact them through the # on your account. Robo calls spoof numbers to call out but calling in goes directly to AT&T. Just don't give out legit numbers unless you're sure it's AT&T by verifying the information they have on file for you. Usually by way of answering secret questions instead of personally indentifiable information.
