Usually, Telus have a caller ID, but this one didn't, so I was skeptical at first, but they clearly do have some information about me from telus, so I asked them to call another time while I'm here checking the number validity.

Found that this number is Telus home services in ab. and British Columbia and is listed on their site " GET ANSWERS FAST" under sub heading Personal. I have had many calls over the last while from this number and after picking up there is dead silence with no one talking on the line.

This was a scheduler at Telus to set up a day to run fiber into house / set up router for new fiber optic network they just set up in town. I'd requested the upgrade and so this was NOT unsolicited.

Ok u got a call from a real Telus phone number, somehow scammer manage to spoof this number.A real call from Telus, for everyone info, Telus will leave a voice mail. Anything dead silence if no voicemail lefts the. It’s a scam as a former Telus employee, we are required to leave a voicemail or else we get written off. Telus sales phone line been close since April 2020 of last year.

830pm isn't a reasonable hour for a lot to people, specially if you have younger kids you have to put to bed. Or some people need to be up really early for work and are in bed already. So there's a lot of reasons to as why it's not a reasonable hour.
