Not the real TELUS number. The ID was cleverly disguised using many spaces. The ID displayed "TELUS-----------------" on the main call screen (replace dashes with spaces). As such, it became obvious when the ID was centered on answering.

They called offering discounts on internet deals, asking for our email and "pin number", luckily my dad doesn't know what that is. They also asked for his date of birth and when he paid his last bill. Hung up and immediately got a call back, they were very persistent. The number is on the Telus website as a support line, it didn't strike me as legitimate at all.

He told me he was calling me from the main Telus office in Toronto. However, the Telus office in Toronto is actually quite small from my understanding. He is always trying to offer me services I don't need. The caller had an East Indian accent.

it's also listed as a telus complaint number given out by telus chat. they will call repeated in a day and every day until you block them with *77 which is free in BC. they are trying to sell you their products, it is contracted out and they are aggressive and also probably illegal. block them.

I got the same thing - knew my name and sounded like a poor connection, multiple men were heard talking on their end.
