I received this robo call after ordering something from an international website. The call claims to be fraud prevention, but I think this is a scam. It is very likely that this party scams your info thru the international site, attempts to make fake purchases, and calls you to phish anything else they can get out of you. They may very well use your card info, which will make you call your bank, and your bank will, in fact, see fraudulent charges. You then assume that these people have successfully alerted you of fraud and you then come online and praise them for their help. There is NO such thing as a national general fraud alert line. I will be getting a new card number because I now know that these scammers have all my info.
