They have been calling for months. Local bank says it is a scam, but they continue to call. Started out as a robocall. Moved up to live human operators asking for me by name. They appear to have access to my account information. They even managed to put a hold on my credit card. I'm tempted to switch banks if this doesn't stop.

Ça fait 5 mois qu'ils m'appellent à tous les jours. I don't even have an account with BMO. They keep calling so I blocked them but they are filling up my voicemails. I called them back today to let them know that I don't have an account and to stop calling - so hopefully they will!

I work for BMO. I called the number and I asked for the name of the individual >> Donna Lee. I mentioned I wanted to search for her in the BMO directory. She said she is not in the directory and I can only find her in Skype??? She asked for my name. I said John Smith. She said she could not find an account for me. I assume this is the point she would probe me for more personal info (SIN, account, etc). I did not let her get that far. I told her that John Smith is the most common name in the world. She should have hundreds of profiles under that name lol. I told her to stop working for a scammer and to get a real job.

Yeah…. I work For this department in BMO. This isn’t a scam, this is a legitimate line for the collections department and you would know that if you worked at BMO. Donna Lee is a colleague of mine that handles accounts in legal and recovery, I highly suggest taking her communications seriously.

Received a call from this number and didn't pick up. Called back and they immediately started pressing me for personal information. When I didn't they hung up. Always call the number on your statement or back of your card if you are not sure.

Been literally dealing with this for almost 4 months. Continuously just leaving a voicemail saying there is an issue with my account and to contact BMO. I have accounts with BMO and have spoken to multiple people at my bank about this and they have no idea why I'm receiving these calls, as there are no issues with my accounts. I have blocked the number but continue to get voicemails, it just never ends.

1 888 676 2269 calls me several times a day, never a live agent, just a recorded message telling me to call BOM - Bank of Montreal immediately - as there's a problem with my account. I do NOT and NEVER had an account with BOM, this is an ONGOING NUISANCE call, it does NOT stop! I google searched this number and it's been an ongoing nuisance to alot of CANADIANS since early 2000's - how can the CRTC allow this phone number to harrass Canadian for over 2 decades?

The number is BMO, the credit card debt collection department. They call relentlessly and even when you speak to them, a different agent will call a few days later, asking the same questions. They state it’s an auto dailing program.
