They've been sending me letters regarding a car extended warranty. I was thinking about signing up. I have just bought a 7yr old car with that is known for having electrical issues after awhile (Lincoln MKC) They said they would cover my vehicle for 150k miles or 5years. I actually think it's a good idea but having second thoughts after coming here. Unsure what to do.

I got one saying I had an ins lapse on a car I bender owned. I actually called the number but it was closed. That’s how nervous I got someone stole my ID. And I’m 42 and I know better! Be careful. They are getting clever. No one wants to rush ins lapse!!!!!

We received a postcard ad with this number to call US Automotive Protection Services, LLC on the 9th of Jan, 2021. Upon our research, we discovered a lot of deceptive practices by this company with absolutely no replies to requests by the Better Business Bureau. Company mainly refuses to cancel contracts. Labeled as a telemarketer given there is history (albeit extremely negative) with the BBB. Weigh the contract vs vehicle value before you part your money on something like this.

So, I got a postcard in regards to my car I bought more than a month ago. Now, I remember signing on a major warranty that covers the car. But, it was obviously a huge issue. First off, the card seem legitimate. Second, it actually had my mother’s name and my car even though the car is under my name, not my mom’s. I gave this a shot to call. They literally said my warranty “expired.” They asked me a $100 deposit and told them to give me some time to think. Afterwards, had second thoughts about it and not continue with this. I’m just glad I made the right decision. I’m surprised that the scammers literally took the time to have it printed and mailed.

Warranty scam. Was sent a postcard with number to call. When I did - I first thought they were legitimate and gave them my VIN but then they wanted the last 13 numbers of my credit card. Then I realized it was a scam. Do I need to report to anyone that I gave them my VIN?

I received a yellow postcard from US Automotive Protection Services, so I called them and a pushy salesperson answered. I hung up after she finished her pre read script saying “we simply can’t leave your file open so you can’t call back later”.

I have been getting these postcards also. So I finally called today and they did not have my first name nor the dealership I purchased my truck from. Don said I needed to purchase my extended warranty. I told him I already purchased it through the loan I have on my truck. He then said ok and hung up. Not professional but you can tell it was all a scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!
