Sam Horne asked for the owner to confirm our Consumers Gas prices. We should be getting a discount of $x.xx just need to call back and verify. After several calls like this over the last 19 years and talking to Consumers Energy themselves, they will never call us about this kind of thing.

Joyce called from 888.449.6744 ext 3015, wanted to speak with the person handling the consumer energy bill to offer a refund. Gave her the fax # at the office, if she had something necessary to send. Nothing came through the fax. She does not answer her ext and you cant leave a message, instead you're advised to hold until transferred to the next ava agent. No transfer took place nor did an agent come on line.

This is definitely a scam caller. Got part way through our conversation and got a bad feeling and hung up. They have called us back 10+ times in the past hour. The number they are calling from is a 989 number, the call back was an 888, and the customer service was an 800. They ask you about your account rates, numbers, addresses, titles, etc. DO NOT SHARE IT! Claim to be DTE but could never give a real confirmation number up front like the real DTE.

These people call repeatedly. They almost had me switch my gas service over to them a year ago and I caught on and hung up just in time. Now when they call and ask for the person who handles the DTE gas bill, I tell them "No, you can not speak to that person." and hang up on them every time. Read the reviews on these companies. They're pretty shifty and you won't save money.

Receive a call early in the day for PG&E information and account number when we don't even use PG&E. After saying that we will contact them back did a quick google search of the phone number and found this number in a different company. This is nothing better than a scam, even if it's telemarketing.

I have had many experiences over the years with companies like this one. This company is the worst I've experienced, they are VERY VERY pushy and rude. First claimed to be calling on behalf of DTE. Asked them to not call again.... 3 different people at different times in 3 days. Each time asked them not to call. Told them to take us off their list AGAIN and asked them to not call again.

Joyce called, as she has many people. Asked for gas information and then wanted our account #, I told her we do not give that information over the phone and I will research them before I give any information out. She was pushy when I told her no, said there was nothing she could do with our account number other than pay the bill, I told her I will not give her that information and will call her back. Gave me the same direct line other people have posted. We have been through this before with them. They will take you to some michigan.gov website they are on to make you think they are official, like that means anything now a days. Stay away, seems like a scam.

Joyce with DTE Energy (supposedly) was asking for a manager who handles our bills. Originally she had asked for someone that has not been here for over 2 years now. I already had a bad feeling because these companies don't normally call you. Of course after I took her call back information she said someone needs to have a copy of a bill when they call back. We will not be calling back.

Representative named Lisa called, regarding my employer's Consumers Energy gas bill. She began requesting information from my employer's Consumers Energy bill - she demanded to know our Gas Recovery Cost, but could not provide any specific information about which account(s) she was supposedly calling about. She did eventually acknowledge that she was actually with a company called Kratos rather than a representative of Consumers Energy. Kratos, she insisted, could help us save money on our Gas Recovery Cost. I did a quick Google search and was not surprised to learn that they were shady at best. A similar company (nTherm) once convinced someone at our office to sign on for the Alternative Gas Supplier program - after a few months of slim savings, they TRIPLED our natural gas rates without warning! Not happening again, not on my watch! I pressed her on the nature of her business, but she played dumb and asked to speak to my superior instead. After I indicated that I had no intention of providing her any information from our bills and that I would not be forwarding her inquiry to anyone else who'd be able to authorize the change, she became (more) hostile. The last thing she said was a threat to call back and go over my head.

Solicitation Call - They misrepresented themselves as Consumers Energy, which they are NOT. Left a message with our office manager saying that we qualify for "Consumer's Choice Program New Rate". I called back and asked for "Jeff" who had called and left the message. They said he was unavailable, but "Ryan" could help me. The call disconnected from my end and he called back immediately from 517-200-9788 (Litchfield, MI), which was really strange as this is NOT a Consumers Energy phone number. He Asked for me to have my consumers energy bill in front of me and told me to read off some info, like the POD. Stupidly I did, then they asked me to confirm the service address and I told them shouldn't they have that info from my file on their computer screen and the guy simmply said "no". It was a red flag. Then I said that's strange that you don't have my file pulled up in your system. and after pressing him, he admitted that he was working for consumers but he company is called Cratos. I told him i had to go, and then called Consumers Energy to verify if the call was legit and came from them. IT DID NOT

A women named Brenda called my office several times asking for the Manager. She called so many times one of my agents asked me to speak with her. She claimed she needed information from the back of one of our consumer energy bills and it was going to help lower our rates. It sounded like a scam but I contacted our corporate office anyway to verify. They have contacted our communities with the same scam. Brenda called back again today and when I politely told her we were not interested she became very rude, and insistent basically telling me I don't know how to do my job. Don't waste your time hang up on them.

Had been called almost every other week stating they wanted to remove a fee we were being charged on our account and needed authorization (clue!). I asked for more info about which locations they were talking about and they did name the ones we operated at, but also had some we no longer leased in over a year (another clue!). Was given a name, this number, and an extension and spoke to a Shannon then a Supervisor Nick. Both of which kept repeating the same exact lines (what a rehearsed clue!) I told them not to call again and that we would call them but they repeated themselves several more times. I finally was very firm and the call ended.

I have spoken with them several times. They represent themselves as being from Consumers and demand a bunch of information from our bill. Halfway through I realized that Consumers would have the information they were asking for. I put them on hold and called Consumer's Power. They explained that the caller was a different company that was trying to get us to switch providers. They explained that we would temporarily get a lower rate, but then it would go back up. Consumers is required by law to set their rates a certain way. I returned to the original call, told them we did not want to switch. They were rude and have continued to call back time and time again.
