Not associated with PayPal or Bill Me Later (Scam call) reported by


I called PayPal Credit after having a heated conversation with 1-888-393-7162 (said she was calling about an unpaid Bill Me Later payment). PayPal said the caller wasn't associated with PayPal or Bill Me Later as BML accounts had been converted to PayPal Credit accounts almost three years ago and, had I owed an outstanding balance on my BML account, PayPal would have made an attempt to collect it before now. Caller is extremely rude and aggressive. Don't be fooled by her.

This number is from PayPal who took over Billme later... If you are behind in payments, they will call... Most are probably automated .... Negative or positive depend on you.

The real Paypal has no record of their ever calling me, and my account is perfect. This number is a scam, a phish. Others report it also claims to be "Bill Me Later" calling about a debt, which is also a scam as I don't use that service. They're using familiar names of services people are most likely to have used at one time. It's all FAKE.

Claimed to be with Paypal. I called the actual paypal number, and they said they don't call people, they email.
