Received a call on my VOIP phone from CHASE 18883731xxx An accented woman's voice asked if this was (my full name including middle initial)and said she was calling from Chase Fraud Department. Asked if I would confirm my last 4 numbers of my credit card. I hung up. Then both our other phone numbers were called. We did not answer. I checked my account - no messages from fraud and no questionable charges. I called Chase Customer Service 800-432-3117 (wait for all the prompts then press O) and was assured my account was fine and that was most definitely a phishing call. BEWARE. DO NOT ANSWER EVEN IF IT SAYS 'CHASE'.

I answered the call after they called me a couple times, it was a lady saying she was from Chase and wanted to confirm about my credit card application which I did apply for. She asked for some personal info which I said I was not comfortable with. I asked about a callback number and she questioned why I would trust a number she gave me if I didn’t trust giving her my info. I feel like a true Chase rep wouldn’t be sketch about giving me a customer service phone number???

I missed the call but they left a message. The message stated that there was potential fraud on my Chase account and asked me to call a (different) 877 number. I tried to verify this number on Chase's website and it wasn't the number for their fraud prevention department. I called chase (through the number on their website) and they confirmed that there was no sign of fraud on my account and that nobody from Chase had attempted to call me.

Applied for a Chase credit card online & was pending review. This number called me after the weekend and I did not confirm my name so they were going to hang up. Prior to ending the call they mentioned the word, "application" so it seems they knew about my card application. I didn't apply directly on the chase website (i used referyourchasecard.com/6/C2V8VEWI5T) so I was still skeptical, but they simply called to let me know I was approved. I requested customer service & they kindly transferred me. I actually hung up early and called the actual chase customer service number and their story was the same that I was approved for the card. Seems fine, but I wish they did some sort of outward verification first so we don't stress ugh.

Got an email from chase about my account and I looked and had a purchase that I didn’t make. I called the department and they sent me to a person who called me back on this number which I thought was sketch but she knew my past purchases and cancelled the card and I saw on my chase app that a new card was added. Personally don’t think this is a scam if they can put a new card onto my chase app

I applied for a Chase Credit Card... and the page said they needed to review my info. A few days later this number calls and I pick up. They say it's Chase Verification. Asked a few questions, answered them, was put on hold for 1-2 minutes and she said I was approved. Checked online and saw my new credit card on my online account.

It is very reasonable that there is some confusion about this number. It certainly seems like a legitimate Chase number, but it is not. I received four calls - three while I was writing this message - from this number. The first call I answered, but immediately muted myself. The female on the other end said hello a number of times, but then stated she could not hear me. Identified herself as Chase Bank and was calling regarding a card number that I have, but haven't used in years. She said there was fraudulent activity and I needed to call back. Before I called back, I searched the number and got this site. In order to be cautious, I did call Chase to inquire about the card, but I called the number on the back of the card - NOT 888-373-1969. The real Chase representative said that there was no activity on the card and no alerts on any of my accounts. I called 888-373-1969 back and listened to a very good imitation of Chase's automated system that only provided an option to be removed from telemarketing calls. It asked me to press one, which I did not do. The call eventually ended. A few minutes later, I received the FOUR additional attempts from 888-373-1969. This is TELLTALE evidence that this is a scam telemarketing call. My callback confirmed that my number was real and justified their repeated attempts to reach me. If you call back, it will sound a lot like Chase. Don't call this number. Call a number on the back of your card and find out if there is anything to be concerned about. 99% that this is NOT Chase.

!!SCAMMER!!, got locked out of my account after I foolishly gave them some account info. Terrible audio quality should of been the first sign of SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION
