A woman called me from this number, and wanted to know some information about some transaction I had. I told her I would call the number on the back of my Chase card. When I called the number on my card, they did verify it was a real Chase employee calling me about some transactions I had just setup for online payments. My guess as to the confusion is some spammers are spoofing the Chase # and trying to trick people. My suggestion is always say thank you hang up and call the number on the back of your card or look-up your bank's phone number.

A woman called stating she was from Chase, and if she was speaking with [My Name]. The caller ID read "Chase Fraud Op" .I said Yes (oops!) and then said I was in a meeting could she call back. She asked for a time to call back. I then called Chase's real fraud department and they had no record or any call or any suspicious activity. They advised it was fraud, and that they would never ask for any personal info. I put the number on my blocked list.

This does appear to be from Chase. I missed the call then found out the next day they put my online transfer onhold pending review. When I call customer directly, they transfer me to some fraud department. Of course, even if I took the call, I wouldn't offer any personal info over a uncertain incoming call.

The caller asked me to verify my name, in turn I asked where he was calling from, he kept asking to verify my name, I kept asking where he was calling from. The man stated he was from a Chase fraud department, I explained, that I will not verify anything for security reasons and to avoid fraud, he became very frustrated, mumbled, that he will send me a letter and abruptly hung up. I called back the number - it sounded exactly like Chase bank call center. I did not follow their prompts, hung up and called a real Chase number and asked to speak to fraud department. They verified, that they never contacted me and there was no reason for them to contact me.

This is a company out of India pretending to be Chase Bank Fraud prevention. How do I know it's out of India? I tracked the GPS location of the caller after talking to them for 10 minutes and dragging out the phone conversation. How do I know it to not be Chase Bank? Let's go to the absolute facts: I called Chase and they said this is not a number they use nor own. Let's go to the implied: 1. They asked me for my address when they should already have it in their records. 2. They offered me a resolution in 8-10 business days for something every other time has only taken 1-2 days. 3. They got nervous when I asked them to verify my own information like: what's my date of birth? what's my zip code? Somehow THEY couldn't discuss my info but they were ok with asking me my info? And 4. They kept not responding directly to my requests and questions like: what's the reference code? Where was this card spent or opened? It took them a while to answer it, like they were digging for the right lie. Be careful. These **** are trying anything and everything.

Did not answer, read reviews online. this is NOT Chase. because I haven't had a Chase account in 15 years. I also have not applied for their card, or any card. IMPORTANT: I worked Fraud for ALL of MC & Visa. We NEVER called ppl to ask your address or you sister's name. why? because we have ALL of your info. already, plus Lexis Nexis, which tracks your whole life. No Fraud Dept. calls anyone asking personal questions. if you think it's Chase, ask what YOUR LAST 5 TRANSACTIONS WERE. Go on, because REAL Fraud has all your transactions ever done on that card. The people on here saying, "No, it's Chase," sorry, you don't know what you're talking about. I do. The Fraud Dept's know what you had for dinner yesterday, your h.s. mascot, where you met your SO...because we see all that. Tell them turn off your card then, ask THEM what your card # is, expiration, etc. because real Fraud knows that. scammers don't.

Lady called claiming to be from Chase Fraud Prevention, requesting some personal information and to provide a number that would be sent via text. I do not have a Chase account; this call is a scam. Asked if I could call back and she provided a different number. Looking up that number (809-278-8xxx), it does not belong to Chase and is registered as a Dominican Republic phone number.

This is a true chase number. Told me my credit card application was approved and told me my credit limit. Asked for my information for verification because I wanted to expedite the delivery. Right after the call I can see the new card on chase mobile app, and the credit limit matched the amount they said.

I usually let my phone go to voice mail if I do no know the number because, for the most part, legit callers do leave messages. When I listened to the message the caller gave his name, a reference number and a different number as call back saying that I do so at any time. My phone is acting strangely now, so I could not get to save the message and I won't hear it again until I get it fixed. I decided to call a company where I made a recent credit card application. They said they have their own fraud team; they know that I applied and the process is being reviewed; it has only been 24 hours; they have not had Chase contact me; they have not attempted to contact me either; it is unlikely that they will try to make contact just so; the application process leading up to approval will take up to 10 business days; if I am not approved I will be notified via email; they do not know of the number that the call came from; the number is not from Chase.

Talked to Chase not there number. They only use 800 not 855 or 888 which is number calling people. 2. They will not ask acct info because they are calling you.

You are incorrect -- I can verify this is the Chase fraud call-back number because I was on a call with a Chase rep and they called me (while I was on the line with them) from this number. Don't spread misinformation please.
