Robo call said 749 dollar charge to Amazon acct. Human came on with same info - hard to understand. "Supervisor" said charge already made needed me to contact teamviewer.com. At that point, I questioned the legitimacy and soon got a dial tone.

Twice I've gotten calls with this number showing. I didn't answer, and I was left a message saying they were calling about an expensive order on my Amazon account, and they wanted to make sure it was legitimate. Since no order is listed when I sign into Amazon, and since I've read about the calls others have received, I've determined this is a scam.

They called with a prerecorded message saying they saw suspicious activity on my Amazon account of someone buying a new iPhone with a high dollar amount and asked to stay on the line or press 1 to talk to a rep. I stayed on the line but knew this must be a scam. Then a live person said "welcome and how can I help you". I said "you called me" so he dropped the call (he knew I'm not a fool by my voice). I went to check my account and of course, there was no activity there. This is a SCAM probably to get your credit card number or account number etc.

they also called me and told me about a possible purchase of an iphone and wanted me to press 1 to speak to someone. I didn't do it, but i did call back the number. I could not talk at that moment and told the guy I would call back later. i changed my password on my account anyway. I didn't realize this number was a scam at first. i felt very uneasy about the whole thing.

Amazon number called me this morning (google the number & it does show to be Amazon customer service) BUT fraudulent phishing for account information). I didn't answer & the 'fake message' stated they were concerned about suspicious activity on my Amazon account - the charge in question was $49.00. Google warned If you call them back hackers intercept the call & try to get your personal account information. Don't fall for this!! >> Go to your Amazon account & look directly at your purchases -activity. I didn't see a $49.00 charge or any other suspicious amount .... only items that I actually purchased.

Same here. The number was the Amazon customer service number. I stayed on the line but didn't make a selection. Meanwhile, I checked my Amazon acct, and there was no activity. The call disconnected.

Like everyone else, I received a recorded call saying I have a suspicious purchase of an iPhone on my account. I checked my account and did not see any purchase. I contacted Customer service through my account, and they confirmed that this is a scam. They even have the number listed on the internet as Amazon Customer Service- they are not!!
