Left message saying "Uh, Hi this is Karen, with an urgent message. Your Domain Registration is set to expire. We've been trying to reach you regarding your business domain renewal. You can use our automated system to renew your domain quickly when you get a moment to call us back." I have automated alerts from my provider set up to let me know when I need to renew. I would never receive a call for that.

It rang once and went straight to VM. "Uh, hi This is Karen, with an urgent message. Your Domain Registration is set to expire. We've been trying to reach you regarding your business domain renewal. You can use our automated system to renew your domain quickly when you get a moment to call us back." This is total BS though because my domain renews in March and I already renewed it through my web hosting service through 2021. Nice try, Karen. Also, my domain service sends me reminder emails, not phone calls.

I receive this call and this is not OK that a company call and just say that. It is a SCAM and if a person is not paying attention would believe it.

Clearly, they are trying to get credit card numbers. The call starts with a robocall telling you your domain name is about to expire. Then, you are told to call a number to make a payment.

I received 2 identical messages on 2 separate occasions, both from a woman named "Karen" saying it was urgent that I call her because my domains were going to expire. She did not identify a company name. This is a total scam. I work with a reputable domain company that does not operate like this. Both times the message went straight through to voicemail without the call coming through. Blocked the number.

This is a complete automated call. They call you saying that your domain name is expired and they give you a phone number to call back. You call back and get a robocall response that tells you to hit one to make payment and then texts you a link if you hit 1. Once you have received the link they send you to a form to make payment. It's at this point I stopped because all they want is your credit card so they can steal your money. All my domain names are with a place that does not do this kind of stuff so I know they're lying. But I did want to see how their scam works.
