I got this call, just like the other people did, from supposedly UHC insurance. But I don't have a medical claim. There is no reason for me to get a call. Honestly, insurance companies won't pay people to sit and call you because they squeeze their profits so tight. There are warnings all over the internet that scammers want to collect your voice saying "yes" in order to use the recording in ways that compromise your security and identity. Again, there is no reason for them to be calling me. I don't have a medical claim.

I thought the voicemail I got was fishy. Called UHC they did not know about it. But reviews on the net said legit. So I called. They knew about a claim I had. They deal with claims that might be due to a injury. Number and people are legit I did not give them any personal info nor did they ask. Just ask for file number and asked if the claim was due to a accident. When I said no they then sent it back to UHC to complete.

You definitely want to answer this. It is Optum for United Health Care Insurance to determine if UHC will cover your medical cost. It is an automatic voice until they verify it is you (yes/no response). Once you say yes, they direct you to a claims specialist. They will leave a message for you to call back.

This company screens medical claims that doctors submit to United Healthcare to see if anything you were treated for could possibly be related to an accident or workers compensation. They call to ask questions about the cause of the treatment you received. United Healthcare confirmed to me they are legitimate and transferred me to them. They were very polite.

Having not called back because I originally listened to the * who rated this as a negative claim, I lost out on getting a brace for my knee. Answer the phone. It's Optum Executive Health resources verifying your insurance claims. Yes, there is a computer voice but once you answer yes or no that it is you, they put on a claims specialist.
