Inspire Supply (Scam call) reported by May
Man and woman Sunday afternoon at door claiming to get back my overcharges for me from ComEd for the past 6 months. Said I should have received an email from Com Ed about this. Said smart meters weren't working right, but have been fixed now and I needed to give them my Com Ed acct # and initial some things in their handheld thing and then I would receive a call to confirm information. Phone rang. I said hello. He put it on mute and told me that he wasn't supposed to be here now. Then he unmuted it and they asked me to confirm that I wanted to switch to Inspire for my electricity supplier. I said no and the man and woman started whispering to me it's okay, just say yes and nodding their heads yes. I told the woman on the phone I would have to think about it first and could I call back tomorrow. She said, oh, no, not at this # and gave me another number to call - 866-403-2620 and when I checked that out online, it came up Inspire. I told the man and woman that I would call ComEd tomorrow and talk with them first. I said ComEd must have money to pay you to work on Sunday. I jokingly asked if they got double time. The man said no, but overtime. I asked if they worked on commission. The man said salary. When I looked at my phone log afterwards, it said "Scam Likely 1-888-200-0961. When I asked the man and woman if they were from ComEd, they said no that they were from ComEd's supplier and were just there to get me my money back for the overages I had been charged.

Same thing happened at my home yesterday. Very large black man with yellow shirt ProSolutions logo on upper right side of his shirt. He rings the bell & pounds on the front door and when I open it he puts up his hands and says "Don't shoot". Really uncalled for and offensive remark on his part. When all was said & done a woman called me and when I called the number back "it is no longer active" and every phone number he gave me as to answer questions, verify whatever, etc HE, Clinton Brown, answers. I believe it is a scam and even though they had a permit to solicit please ignore them and DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR.
