they call saying from dell conceirge dept that my laptop has virus and that ssl been deleted they hv site on google saying that they are in deed from dell ask for manager tec says his name is jason and warrenty wont cover to fix would hv to pay 250.00 to get it fixed i said i would hv to call dell my self and talk to someone about warrenty he said ok and would get back to me after checkin if there was anythin they could do about the amount it would cost shut off my internet so couldnt access anythin else on computer and changed all passwords etc called dell and was told that number ISNOT from dell dont take the call oand dont believe from dell even if thye hv u look up online sayin it is from dell its not DELL DOESNT NOT CALL U IF U HV PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER U CALL THEM SO REMEMBER NO CALLS FROM DELL FROM 18777903355 ITS A FAKE TO GET U INFO FROM YOUR COMPUTER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so any calls FROM this number is a SCAM. while the number is a real Dell phone number, any call FROM it is a spoof. Dell urges reporting of any of these calls to HTTPS://www.dell.com/reportphonescams/. I urge my fellow IT guys help me fight these *hats by answering the calls, garner as much info as possible and report them. waste their time, get info, *them off.

I just got a new phone, and the calls started up again. This is a Dell scam, and I was verbally abused on the occasion I answered. I was called names and heckled. Better to not answer, they will get vicious when you question them.

This is the usual Dell scam call (you can hear those conversations in the background) but they have put an extra 1 before the number on caller ID so my Nomorobo did not recognize it to block it. The person had an Indian or Pakistani accent and asked for a person by name who does live here. I told them they did not reach the named person. When I asked for his name, he replied "Dave." Since he could tell I would not cooperate, he abandoned the usual Dell pitch and claimed the person he asked for is his girlfriend, he had gotten the phone number from her mother, and that he was planning to marry her tomorrow. I told him there was no one by that name here, she obviously did not give him the correct number, and didn't want to be found by him. Then he began cursing and I hung up. So far I doubt I can block it with the extra 1 before the number, so I will just have to let it ring. The caller ID said "Name Not Found." If they try to access your Dell computer, you can report it to Dell at https://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/19/reportphonescam, but I have done that many times over the past several years and it's still happening. :(

While this appear to be an actual Dell number, Dell was hacked and when they call offering Concierge Services, they want access to your laptap. They state that their 'central monitoring is aware that you've accidentally deleted your firewall' When I stated that it makes no sense that they know what is going on in my laptop with McAfee, I was told this is a special monitoring mainframe that makes McAfee work. Interestingly, they do give me a call back number. They had been calling several months ago and when stopped blocking their number, the calls began immediately. As I recognized the final digits of -3355, I picked it up. A person on the other end didn't respond for the first 2 times. On the off chance that I'd missed a bill payment, I answered the phone on the third call, and the conversation is as above. Persistent little buggers. Interestingly, as I recall, when they called in the spring they had the wrong series of laptop I had; I must have corrected them, as this time they had it. Remember, recalls should be via US MAIL. E-mail notification and telephone notification is possible, but in this case, think about it (I'm not that computer literate) but a laptop is not slaved to a mainframe. They are not going to know I've disabled some alleged factory installed software any more than they are going to know what I watch on YouTube. They gave me a call back number of 888-616-6530 ext 8014 said to be located in Texas

indian/pakistani scammers fraudulently impersonating dell - try to sell you bogus anti virus that is actually a virus and try to connect remotely to your computer to steal your personal info while they talk bull*it to you. Will charge your credit card dozens of times if you give it to them. Don't answer. they use fake tech support websites like pccoverlife24x7.com

they CALL AND CALL. I've asked nicely, screamed at them, told them i don't want them to 'fix ' my computer --- and they keep calling. SCAM!!!!!! Someone please tell me how to get rid of these idiots!!!
