These people do not give up calling me several times a day. They say they are Dell Tech Support and need to access my computer with Windows 10 OS because of a negative report to their server. Early on, they wanted to upgrade my PC and ask if I can hear them several times. I stopped answering weeks ago and send an automatic rejection message. An extra ph # I have for Dell Tech is 817-717-3355. I wish these people would get a real and HONEST job!!!!!

told me that someone was accessing my computer and installing files that are unwanted. i told him (he had a south asian accent) that I work for the government and that my computer is govt issued and maintained (implying that we have strong and strict security measures). he should call our IT dept. he hung up immediately.

Received this call from a fake Dell technician, fortunately I was both on the phone and online remotely with real Dell and Law Enforcement so I just made it a group show-and-tell while forensics did their data gathering. Can you believe they hung up on me when I told them? Don't take the call. They'll want you to go down to Walmart and get a $500.00 gift card for them. No credit card, nothing traceable as your accounts may be compromised . . . lol, that was great timing fake East Indian Dell support guy!

I know this scam number and they will keep on calling you over and over. I answer "Hello?" Indian guy replies, "Hello, this is Dell, we are calling about your Dell computer" I say, " OH - is this about the Dell computer that you have placed VIRUSES in?" Indian guy says "Uhhhh, no....." I say, "OH, then it is about some computers that you PLAN on putting viruses in?" He hangs up the phone.

I ordered last week a part to fix my dell laptop and somehow they knew about it. Then they told me that the computer was sending msgs to their server , which i knew it was not true so I just hanged up.

He said he needed access to my laptop (which I had fixed a couple months ago) because some sort of security had been deactivated. I can't prove if it was real or not but he sounded very sketchy.

I had a recent issue with my computer in June and 2 months later I get a call from the same number (Dell Tech Concierge) They had all my old issue history and even knew what was wrong with my laptop the first time and claimed they were doing a follow up. Ended up calling dell after I got off the phone with them and they said they didn't open up any new case today with me and that the only one on record was in June. I opened my laptop and they were on my paypal and bestbuy and ebay.

Spoofed Dell tech support number. Don't want to block it because the number itself is legitimate. Dell should never use this number to initiate contact. If you have previously talked to them and have an open issue you can answer the call but ask for the work order reference number. If in doubt call back and make them give you the number and describe the issue. You can tell the difference between a legitimate contact and a spoofed number associated with a scam or pfishing call. When in doubt call another number.

Person called from A very noisy place. Asked about a laptop that had been repaired 4 months ago. I could barely understand due to background noise and thick accent. Hung up as soon as I began saying "What? It's been fixed."

Dell Tech support states that the number is Dell's legit concierge service number - a number for customer to call in, not for Dell to call customer, the scammer hacked into the phone line to make these calls.

Claim to be from Dell saying something is wrong with my computer. (Scam call) reported by


Claimed to be from Dell claiming something wrong with my system, they knew the service tag of my system which worried me a bit, but asked to give them remote access to my computer, when I started asking him questions they quickly hung up. I then called dell and they say they have no record of anyone from Dell contacting me and said it was a scam call.

These people call regularly from a very different country, from some boiler room, and then immediately hang up when I ask questions about who they are, where they are from, whom do they work for, etc. They are DEFINITELY scammers, who from past experiences, most likely want access to your computer.
