Would not tell me who they were calling with could barely speak English when told I wanted to speak with some one state side that got rude and defensive saying its just a verification call and once I give them my info they would tell me way they are calling.

Exact same type of call here. As soon as they asked for my address I hung up. If they are a legit bill collector (I don't owe anyone) then they should say, "I am XYZ calling from ABC..."

They give people different reasons for calling the if the call is answered, if not and it goes to answering service they just leave a blank voicemail, or vague voicemail with absolutely no information so why even bother leaving a voicemail.

they call all the time, 3 times yesterday, the first time i answered, she said i was in charge of (can't remember the name) things they own and i am responsible for money owed , and wanted to do it by phone. asked for the name of company and her, didn't get either. but kept hounding me about the bill. told her "i'm hanging up and calling the f.b.i. fraud division", she hung up. and still keeps calling, i unplug the phone. scammers suck !

asked for deceased brother (Scam call) reported by


called and asked to speak with my brother who passed away a year ago, said I was his guardian and they asked for my name for verification, told them no I would not give them my name. I asked what they wanted with michael and they would not say just personal business matter, and I said well if it was personal business matter then you would know he passed away a year ago and they said " oh so there are two michaels?' I said of course there are more than two michaels. I run into a michael almost everyday. They said " I will call back later" and hung up.
