Receive calls from 800-768-7855, - 7838, and others I think are the same people. Never answer, no message ever left. I assume this is a collection, as I have several medical bills I can't pay, which keep getting sold from one collection company to another. So I'm used to ignoring many calls, sadly.

They were calling me on my old phone but now they are calling my new line and I don't give this number out I still have my old phone but rarely use it. They call and never leave a message. So I don't answer it, I wish they can just STOP CALLING.

This number calls me just about everyday trying to collect an outstanding debt from my deceased father. I answered it by mistake one day because I usually I don't and it was a recorded message from some guy asking for my dad and saying they will find other ways to contact me if I don't respond, almost threatening. My dad has been gone for 2 years and these people are still hounding my mother and I for debts that aren't our responsibility. They are disgusting and will continue to just be blocked.

I have also received calls from somebody posing as an attorney and 2nd person claims to be a close family member such as a son or grandson. They will claim to be in jail because went through a red light and hit a pregnant woman and wanted $10,000 for bail it didn't sound like my son when I questioned that person and he said woke up with a cold and went to get medicine. They only way they accept payment is trying to get you to go to Home Depot and buy thousand dollar gift cards and give them the access code on the back of the cards. Since people rarely have 10 grand laying around the person posing as the attorney will call back and say he got Bail reduced to $5,000. The person posing as a family member will tell you not to call their wife or anybody like that because they're devastated. they also tell you all their personal effects have been removed from their person such as cell phone wallet etc which makes sense its jail. CALL YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IMMEDIATELY!!! ALSO CALL THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHER VERIFY EVERYTHING. They don't want Visa Mastercard American Express anything like that because you can get the cash back they will only accept Home Depot gift cards. The attorney poser will be very specific on the fine details of what to do. THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO IN THIS SCAM. THEY WILL GET YOU WORKED UP NOT THINKING CLEARLY AND THEN THEY GO IN AT YOU FOR THE KILL. CHECK OUT THE NUMBER THEY'RE CALLING FROM. IN MY CASE THEY WERE IN MANHATTAN AND NOWHERE NEAR THEY CLAIM TO BE. STALL THESE PEOPLE GET A NUMBER FROM THE ATTORNEY TO CALL HIM BACK. LUCKILY FOR ME THE NEAREST HOME DEPOT WAS 30 MILES AWAY WHICH GAVE MY MIND ENOUGH TIME TO PROCESS AND QUESTION WHAT IS GOING ON.
