Trying to steal SSN for identity fraud (Scam call) reported by


Received a Robocall that my SSN has been compromised, supposedly from the social security information. For fun, I pressed 1 and was connected to a very helpful agent with a heavy Indian accent. He asked for my name, and I provided a fake one. Then he hung up on me.

Said my SS# was compromised and was being turned off. Person who set this recording up can't speak English very well. Interesting note: I received the call just 5 minutes after I changed my Linked In pass word. Not sying they are behind it but the information may be being purchased by the ones behind this scam.

I told them I had SS number saved in my phone and she said that this wasn't a local office, I said wow, neither is the one I have saved. I made her verify my name, I said wow you can do a Google search too. I said have a nice weekend with your scam.
