Harrassing phone calls (Unsolicited call) reported by Diana Brown
They called and claimed to be United Healthcare. They asked what balance the patient owed us. They said that the patient was trying to find out how much she owed providers. We've never received a phone call from United Healthcare like this before. It doesn't show up as United Healhcare on caller ID. I don't know what business it is of theirs how much the patient owes us. They know what they paid us and how much the patient's responsibility was. That's all they need to know. This guy was very persistent. We told him that without the patient's authorization we couldn't even verify if the person was a patient here. We finally hung up. Then he kept calling over and over until we finally had our phone system provider block the phone number.

Stated Unitedhealth. But, when she stated that "MEDICARE" is requiring them to call to get updates on my health and I have to answer all questions put to me. For one thing, MEDICARE will not call you nor will they have anyone else call you. If you have this insurance they already have your medical records. And so does Medicare. They do not need to call you to verify anything. And one of the main questions was verify your policy number. This is a scam to get your info to file false claims to get money. Do not fall for this SCAM.
