Message cut in abruptly without identification - message said to call with case #4293767 for activity on my prepaid card...but I have no prepaid card. Asked to enter phone number...did. Response was there was no case associated with that phone number and that perhaps issue had been resolved. I have no prepaid card and have not charged anything other than to stores I know. First such call I have received on my cellphone.

Received text message that stated "Carlton Fraud Ctr: 18662120614 Case 2670151 Did you attempt $39.80 at Amazon.com*GM84 with card x6126? Reply Yes or No. Opt Out reply STOP". Clever, they had the last four digits but the amount was incorrect, they wanted me to call the fake 866 number. Total scam. I called Amazon directly, and they said they never sent it. Its a scam. If you ever receive any texts or emails, always call the 800 number on back of your card and or your bank directly. Zero trust, never trust anything, always be vigilant.

Was calling about "suspicious activity" on a pre-paid visa card that was used recently, which was really used about a month ago. Didn't have card at the moment but did have it (empty funds though). He gave me 2 minutes to cooperate and hung up after. Was probably going to be ready to get the number on the back of the card.

if you sell for color Street this is the prepaid card that you get from your pay portal. If you are not comfortable calling the number that they leave on your recording, call the number on the back of your card. I did that and there was fraudulent activity on my color Street card.

They called wanting to confirm my identity on a prepaid card. I don’t have a prepaid card. They wanted me to confirm the year and date of my birth and gave me multiple options one of which was correct on the year and then I refused to go any further and hung up I called the number back they answer as fraudulent card services and again immediately wanted me to give my birthday they know my name. I have no prepaid cards

The numbers matched the last 4 of my debit card for my Color Street card. I called the number on the back of my card and it was indeed fraud on my card... they did not ask me to verify anything other than my personally picked security questions that I used when I set my Pay Portal account up.

This was an automated message. I missed the very beginning but they said they were investigating fraudulent activity on a prepaid card ending in (they gave 4 numbers, I checked all of my cards after I got off the loan gone and none of them ended in those numbers), they knew my name and then wanted me to verify my identity by giving them my birthdate, that is where I hung up. A prepaid card isn’t going to have all of this information on you, I believe they are phishing. Do not ever give these types of calls information. If you are concerned that they may be legit, contact your bank by using a number you know is your banks number. I swear, it’s to the point where you can’t answer the door, the phone, texts or emails for fear of being scammed out of money!

They knew the last 4 of my prepaid card and my birthdate. The charges listed as fraudulent on my card did not appear in my transactions online. The live person hung up after referring me to the number on the back of my card. Either they only wanted to confirm my name and birthdate connected to the card or they also hacked the customer service # because when I called to report my card stolen it was very suspicious. The prompts sounded nothing like my typical card prompts on a customer service line. Definitely should not answer.
