Wanted my time for a CT Dept of Health survey. (Survey) reported by


Said it was a survey concerning my general health and health service I use, told them I was having dinner and I couldn't talk. Said they were calling from CT but the lady had a thick southern accent. Polite and they got off the phone, but my cell phone indicated it was a SPAM call.

It might be a nuisance but it's not spam They do this once a year and the state of Connecticut department of public health has it listed on their website with all the information including how to get off the call list The CT-BRFSS is authorized by CT DPH. You will see caller ID display as 860-509-71xx "CT Department of Public Health" and the interviewer will identify his/herself as calling on behalf of the CT Department of Public Health. The interviews are conducted by a contractor, identified through a transparent state bidding process. This contractor is ICF Macro, Inc., (http://www.icf.com), and the survey team can be reached at 877-364-0913. The questionnaire (CT BRFSS 2020 Questionnaire) changes somewhat from year to year and state to state to meet changing needs and address state specific priorities. The BRFSS originally collected data on health behaviors related to the leading causes of death, but has since been expanded to include issues related to health care access, utilization of preventive health services, and to address emerging issues such as cigar smoking or diet pill use. Each month survey data are sent to the CDC for editing and checking. At the end of each year data are compiled and adjusted to be representative of all adults in the state, and returned to states for analysis and use in planning and monitoring health programs. Data for all states are available via the CDC BRFSS website

Claims St of CT "health survey"...at 7:30 pm on Labor Day 2018? WTH!? Getting calls from this number 3 to 4 times a week. I answered once and when female caller said "State of CT health survey...." I hung right up. After getting half dozen more calls over the next week, I called back, reached a recording "State of CT" and left message "STOP CALLING ME". They continue to call me. Next step is file complaint with Dept Consumer Protection and Governor's Complaint Department, St of CT.
