they shut down my credit card without consulting me. (Scam call) reported by margge
I got a text to phone in . I did. They were able to list purchases I had made that very day. I said they were all legit. They claim an attempt was made to purchase something using my card in a store I've never heard of. They threatened to shut my card down. I told them NOT to and that I would deal with this at my local branch which seemed like a safer way in case it was a scam. It was indeed a scam, since i contacted my local branch and they confirmed that someone shut my card down!

Fraud department sent me a text letting me know that my debit card had been used for a transaction in Mexico (I'm in USA). Called the bank directly to verify it wasn't spam, they said it was a legitimate text.

totally thought it was a scam and ignored my messages until my credit card was declined and i contacted my bank - they routed me back. this is apparently a 3rd party service for smaller banks. ironic their outsourced fraud department seems like scam city! i guess the company (FIS) has an awesome algorithm for Detecting Fraud...but apparently doesn't invest much in not seeming like a scammer. it's all very weird, but apparently legit.

Got the typical call Friday pm (on voice mail) by robot saying possible fraud on bank card XXXX. Left a number and case number. I went to bank’s website to confirm it was legit and all the numbers listed were only for normal operating hours. Waited until Tuesday am (Monday was MLK holiday) to call one of the bank’s numbers. Was pretty sure it was a legit call since we also got an email with same info and card was not working, but we wanted to be safe. Bank did not confirm that the Phone number was legit, but the card was blocked and we verified the last purchase (over $50 in pizza). Did complain to the bank that it would have helped if they had listed the 3rd party companies number on their website so tgat we could verify that it is legit.

The info they ask for does not give them the ability to clone your card or make fraudulent claims. They do not ask for pin numbers, passwords, SS#'s or the 3 digit security code on the back of the card. They called about a claim that was made from the Netherlands, which I did not make. Card is locked and I will order a replacement. Small Credit Unions do not issue their own debit cards and this third party monitors the cards CU's give their customers for fraudulent activities. If you don't believe it, contact your Credit Union directly. I did and they verified it as valid. I served on the Board of Directors for my CU for a number of years and this is a legitimate call.

Received a call from this number; "Fraud Center" was shown in caller ID. I did not answer, and they left voicemail stating that there was fraud activity on my MC. However, the last four digits of the card number they stated was for my previous MC which was closed several months ago due to a previous fraud activity. I called my bank and they confirmed that the call was legitimate from their fraud center. There was an attempt against that previous card number from "Ubuy **** com". There were no issues with my current card.

NO VM and NO RESPONSE TO TEXT other than the same generic reply that was initially sent. I texted back CALL ME multiple times with the same message in response EVERY TIME. At least 10 times…..BEWARE!!!!!!!

Received a text from a short text number and with information about a charge that was declined wanting to know if I attempted the charge. I said no and got a message back automatically that they would call me or I could call them. I got a call and while it did say spam risk I answered. They did not ask for any information just my name to confirm they were speaking with the owner of the card and asked if I was familiar with the transactions. They mentioned all the transactions and amounts that were pending and even one that had been declined that didn't show on my bank statements. They even had a charge that was from me. After they said they would cancel the card and to call the number on the back of my card to dispute the transactions. Though my bank being small this is only to call or cancel the card if its lost or stolen. That had me worried but was told that my card was canceled and not by them. So I believe with not asking for more information or any details and told me to call the number to cancel it I believe it is legit but always good to double check these things.

This is a fraudulent call connected with fraudulent behavior. Criminals will steal your card number, make fraudulent transactions, then text you with information to think it is from your bank. Once you respond to the text, they call you from this number. But it is just the scammer coming back for more money. Thankfully, the light came on before this happened to me. This number is not listed with my bank or with any legitimate business. Plus, my bank never sent me email alerts or banking app alerts. My bank has a direct number to report fraud, which I thankfully went through. DO NOT LET THESE FALSE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOOL YOU. This is a scam. CALL YOUR BANK DIRECTLY or go directly through your banking website. NEVER GO THROUGH THIS NUMBER.

I got an email with this telephone number on it in order to contact about recent charges on my Debit card (Mastercard). Called my bank directly and they told me there was no Case Number to go with the recent charges on my account and that nothing was flagged for "different activity". This telephone number, and email it was in, is most likely a scam and just super sketchy overall.

Attempted charge that I did not do was blocked. They closed the account suggested I call them which I did. They as well confirmed what the bank told me without asking any personal information. Glad I did

I received a call and was asked to confirm charges to my account. There had been multiple charge attempts from multiple states at almost the exact same time. Thankfully, they did not let the charges go through to my bank. My bank confirmed that they used a third party to help prevent fraud and that my card had been placed on hold based on my responses to the charge attempts. Most banks do not have the resources to continuously monitor every attempted transaction, so most, if not all, banks go through VISA and Mastercard for their debit cards for their fraud service protection. This is the 2nd time, and last time, I made a charge at one chain store and moments later there was attempted fraud.

This is a fraud detection company, verifies charges on bank accounts for fraud. They DO NOT ask for acct, PIN or routing numbers just a confirm or deny on account charges with date, amount and retailer. I'd happily pay for this service up front but it's a added charge in almost all Debit, Credit and revolving accounts.
