Aetna gets paid a fee by Medicare for doing home visits. They want to know everything about you. Its an invasion of privacy and not necessary since most people have their own doctor.

Aetna provides a yearly checkup in your home at no cost given by a licensed health provider, usually an MD They do a home safety assessment if needed. They can arrange services needed if not already provided.

As of Jan 1, 2020 Aetna is a part of my Medicare (Aetna?) Advantage Plan provided by my former employer. If the call is bona fide, why is there no caller ID displayed on my home phone, but no message was left either. Why would my health insurance co. be more forthcoming? The caller ID was: (On name displayed) 1 855-746-87xx.

No message left. I have blocked these calls in the past. When I have answered and told it was Aetna, I kindly stated I am a Nurse Practitioner working to take care of patients right now, please ask Aetna to spend their monies on people in need of help. Caller hung up.

Caller identeified herself as Carol, told me the call was being recored I am calling from Signify Healthcare on behalf of Atena who wants us to preform a cognitive memory question and wellness exam on you. I Laughed and said, well told her i am recording this as you are on speaker. Caller became angry and told me i do not have the right to record her call, i said how is it you can record my call? Carol said I told you i WAS RECORDING MY CALL. I told you the same thing Carol. she hung up

It's just a service that Aetna insurance offers. Not everyone has transportation for doctor appointments. No one wants to break into your house. At least Aetna doesn't anyways.
