Text me and said “Thank you for subscribing to X-GuardPro for $500. Order #GH7UOK9P. Don’t know what this is or ordered. Gave this phone # to call if this order wasn’t mine. Never called. No charges appeared to me. Total scam. Fraud.

Message claiming to be RBC and asking to urgently call back 1-855-272-1210 but after verification with Royal Bank it's false. I don't even have an account with RBC!

RBC (Scam call) reported by DMB
A woman asked me to return the call to RBC. She left this number and used my full name. I called back and got a poor quality recording saying it was RBC, and was routed to someone who said he would have to transfer me to someone else. I said no, I want to know why they called, he said he has no info on that. I said I wasn't convinced they were the real RBC, and was not going to provide any more info. He said I could go to my branch to deal with things if i wish. I called the main RBC number and they confirmed that there is no such number in their directory, and advised me not to return that call. Said there are no call notes or flags on my account that they'd need to speak to me about. SCAM!

RBC Royal Bank (Scam call) reported by J Andrews
Received a voicemail from this number stating they were "RBC Bank" and when I returned the call to the number indicated a poor quality voice response system mimicking the Royal Bank took the call and "routed" me through a few options until I could speak to a person claiming to be a representative. They initial asked me for my banking card information but I felt suspicious so I asked them their location and what the call would be pertaining to as there was no information on the voicemail. The person couldn't provide their location so I said I'm not comfortable providing any further information until they provided me proof they were RBC. The rep said "Thanks for your call" and hung up. Always be cautious of people claiming to be your bank!
