Called number back. Call taker claims its a charge on my credit card and a transaction going through my account. Interesting thing is I dont have an account or a credit card with Royal Bank. Advised her that and she strongly suggested me to visit my nearest Royal Bank for additional details.

just called official rbc line to confirm the number is not from rbc and is a scammer. they usually reach you thru mail if it is an important matter so do not answer a number from banks unless you are expecting a call back.

Caller said I didn't honor a payment arrangement but I had none on file and my account is up to date. Callers background was a bit noisy like someone was giving instructions from the background. My phone marked the call as a spam call.

RBC called me to collect on 2 month delinquent Cc charges. These were fraudulent and I called them several months ago, they said they would handle this. RBC has gotten their lines crossed so many times i am cancelling all my accounts.
