Pop up on my screen said to call this Apple support right away to unlock my phone. I called in a panic...he asked for serial number and I gave it to him. Said something about a 3rd party site hackers got my info and the only way he could fix it was with an iTunes gift card of $100. He would stay on the phone and once I has it give him the key code. At first I started heading to the store because I need my phone but then I checked the number online and hung up. He called me again and I said this is a scam how dare you do this and steal ppl money. If something 5 wrong I will take it to my apple store. He was trying to convince me he was legit but I hung up on him..closed all windows on the iphone. I then pup pop up blockers on safari and cleared all caChe and Web history.

AT&T SCAM!!!! (Scam call) reported by


I was on my phone looking at lyrics and all of a sudden my Safari locked up in a picture popped up on the screen telling me that I had to go AT&T don't lock my phone because I was doing something illegal (XD) I instantly realized it was a scam so I tried calling the number and I told him that what they're doing is wrong and that they need to unlock my phone immediately I got fed up with this Indian dude tell me to be patient. So I ended the call and soft reset my phone and the pop up disappeared allowing me to access my Safari so I didn't think anything else about it and I decided to check the number to see if it is a scam or not and it turns out it was actually a scam so if this happens to you reset your phone because it's not AT&T!!!

APPLE SCAM FOR MONEY (Scam call) reported by


Family members Phone started acting screwy eventually an apple notification showed up on the phone to call apple support with this phone number. Called and they said you needed to buy an itunes gift card for 250.00 which would be reimbursed by apple once the new system was installed. Family member (doesn't understand technology) purchased gift card and gave gift card number over phone. eventually realized it was a scam but it was too late. GO STRAIGHT TO AN APPLE STORE IF THIS STARTS TO HAPPEN ON YOUR PHONE. DONT CALL THE NUMBER!
