Student Loan Forgiveness Scam Call (Scam call) reported by


Was called from this number; they left a message which stated that they are from the Depth. of Education, which is a lie to start with. Then they told me "that since I contacted the Depth of Education about my Student Loan about forgiveness, that they could offer me payment of $0 per month and that my loans could be forgiven and that this "program would be expiring soon." When I called the REAL student loan company who holds my loans I asked them if there was any loan forgiveness program that was expiring soon and they said NO. They did go over repayment options that are available to me, but they are NOT the same ones that this caller is promising. My advice is 1)Don't answer the call at all and 2)If you really do have a student loan or any other loan, call the financial institution that is servicing that loan to discuss available options so you don't get scammed. That is what I did. Good luck and remember, If it seems to good to be true, then it probably isn't.

I dont have any loan debt! yet these people keep calling me. and when I asked to be taken off the call list I was told that they are just going to call me more and give my number out to other places that will call. I'm never giving them any of my information. yet they still continue to call.

Very rude. Asked for a manager and he refused. Receptionist "David" told me he was sorry for wasting my time and told me to stop wasting his. Called back and allegedly reached a manager who subsequently hung up on me.

Prestige Student Solutions called to assist with my student loan. (Scam call) reported by


I've never had a student loan. When I called back to inquire why I was called, the person said because I had a student loan. I said no, I've never had a student loan and didn't understand why I was I called and that I was concerned about my financial records. She said she'd take me off the list. I asked what list and she said their call list. Then tried to hang up. I asked if she needed more info to take me off the list and she said no they'd recorded my phone number. I shared that it wasn't my phone number and she said "why'd you call from that number and then hung up."
