The caller had my card type, and purchase history, to include location of purchase. However checking my account online I could see it was paid off. Some minor details were off (time since purchase, they called me, I didn't call them). Wanted me to link my bank account to pay it off. Hung up.

This is not legit. Theyre trying to steal your Social Security number and identity, do not give them info. They lie and say theyre collecting from Macys,its a lie. Macys reported a warning about these calls, not to give these people your info

Spoke in spanish to me , said my account was in recovery (Debt collector) reported by


Said my Macys account was in recovery, asked for my ss#, put me on hold to transfer me to Citibank then said no one was available because they close on weekends. Calked again on Monday morning, didnt answer. Called Macys myself and told them about this, they confirmed it was NOT Macy"s . This is a scam. They are targeting older people particularly those who's primary language is not English. NOT LEGIT .

Call was actually warning me about overdue Macys card payment. (Company) reported by


I avoided this call the first few times, as i was really suspicious of the stated intro. So I looked up Macys customer service separately, and called them. It turns out I was overdue on payments for a new Macy's credit card that I had forgotten about, and hadn't yet added to my online account with the Macys website. So I was able to get them to remove late payment fees and pay it off. If you don't answer the call it's fine; just call Macys yourself and make sure your bill is paid up.

I thought this call was a scam, but I called Macy's customer service to check it out. It turned out it was a legit call that came from the company because my account was past due. I had sent them the check, but they never received it, which is not surprising these days. The person I talked to said they do call people in order to get them to make a payment.

Macys collecting a debt (Debt collector) reported by


Today I had two miss calls from this number. I return the call and it was Macy's customer service debt department. I did not talk to a customer live representative instead I went thought the machine and use my SSN to locate my account. It seems like I have paid less than my minimum payment for my American Express so I was in the negative. I added my account information schedule de payment. After reading some of the comments here some saying it was a scam I immediately log in to the Macys website and indeed there was my payment schedule so it is just customer service trying to remind you about a missed payment of your account is in negative. If you do have your account like that just heads up Macy's is helping with two months payment extension for people impacted by COVID 19. Hope this helps someone!

Yes, it very much so is Macys. I've had an account with them for 23 years. I realized on the 23rd that I missed my payment that was due on the 20th... It was an honest mistake, however i have never missed a payment.... Will make the Payment soons my check deposits...
