my Verizon Wireless account is suspended? (Unsolicited call) reported by


Called 5 PM on a Sunday evening and left a voicemail. Claimed to be from Verizon wireless and said that my account was suspended for verification but that I could press 1 to reactivate the account. It looks like a scam to me and I will not be returning the call.

Claimed that my Verzon acct was locked (Robocall) reported by


Automated call saying that my Verizon account was locked, but that I could 'Press 2' and use the automated tool to reactivate. This transferred me to another robot, who just needed SSN info, account PIN and confirmation of phone number. Gave them 1111 and 2222222222 (both fake) and the robot was happy and hung up.

Automated call came in saying that my Verizon account was locked and that certain acct information was required before I would be transferred to representative to unlock account. I did not enter anything but asked for representative. New automated woman's voice came on call (with slight British accent) and asked for info again, didn't say anything, then message switched to say the representatives were busy and they would call back within 40 minutes. Confirmed with Verizon that they would NEVER ask for identifying information and that this was a PHISHING call.
