Picked up call. Claimed to be Verizon. Stated my account was canceled and offered me to press numbers for options. Yeah, no thanks. Hung up and blocked. I just paid my bill and all is fine with my account. Thanks but no thanks scammer freaks!

Got the call, got told I would be getting 50 buck due to slow service between 10 pm and 3 am- needed my zip. I said email me. They texted me just like the real Verizon and next thing I know, I am billed for a new phone an Apple at that. Called the real Verizon, got to the fraud department and got cleared. Called my Credit secure people to check they got a notice from the real Verizon. Some days I just hate people! These dummies billed my address -- listed me as living at a hotel of all places. Nitwits!

Just like the others have said, I received a call from this number claiming to be Verizon. They gave me the cell tower and slow service spiel, and asked me for my zip code. It sounded a bit strange but I continued. He said I would receive a code and to just read off the numbers. Stupidly, I did, even though something still felt off. I Googled the number while I was waiting for him and saw something about it being a scam. So I hung up. AND HE CALLED BACK!!! He said we got disconnected and I was like, no, I hung up because I looked it up because it seemed like a scam. He acted innocent and because I just did a quick scan of the webpage and the phone numbers were so close, and I received a text from Verizon, I thought it was legit. Turns out they placed an order for an iPad. I changed my password quickly, spoke to Verizon rep, called the Fraud dept and they canceled the order. Now I blocked this scam number. Can't believe I fell for this.

Caller claimed to be from Verizon stating cell tower was being replaced between 10pm-3am. Because of inconvenience I would recieve $50 credit on my bill. Just needed to verify my zip code. Said I would recieve a text and I needed to read them the code to verify it. Sounded fishy so I said I would call Verizon myself. Caller was polite and said thank you and he no up. I Called Verizon customer service right away. They said it was a scam.. suggested changing my acct password. Please! Please! Watch out for these scams!

Called, heavy accent, and claimed to be verizon wireless. Said they are moving towers and satellites and that I will experience slowing in my service. Because of that he indicated they will refund me $35.00 but he needed my personal information for verification. When I refused to give my information he started arguing so I hung up.

they will ask for your zip code so that they can reset the password on your online account. you'll receive a text from Verizon with a temporary password in the text. the scammer will then ask for the temporary password so that they can access the account. i'm not sure what they intend to do once they are in.

Got a call similar to others...said services would be slow and they were offering a $55.00 credit on my account. Asked for my zip code. Sent a text from the verizon saying it was a temporary password change and a string of numbers. He kept asking for these numbers. I googled number he called from and found this thread. When I said I wasn't going to read the numbers, he hung up.

They called saying services would be slow due to moving towers/satellites from 10 PM- 3 AM EST. Asked for zip code, then sent a text message to my phone which was giving a temporary password,once I read it back I got another text saying it was changed. I called Verizon and they confirmed that my account had been hacked. All my info had been changed, from my address to the contact info as well as my PW. If you get that call and give up any info, please call Verizon asap. They will help put it all back. The name used on the account as the primary was Mark Anthony. If you see this number, do not answer it.

I just got this call but it cut off before they gave me any numbers or anything. I called Verizon and they couldn’t explain it. Last week though we got several calls of people trying to buy phones on our acct. We now have completely shut our online acct down.

Googled the number right away and found it was a scam.
