Attempted to gain my Verizon PIN number. With that, they can SIM swap an account. In the land of cryptocurrency, and others, they can then use your number to attempt access to your 2FA, such as Google Authenticator, at which time they can gain access to your accounts, including exchanges and the like.

Called the number back and it is a non working number, so definitely a spoofed number. On several sites there are reports that the callers are posing as Verizon, stating that the account has been cancelled and phishing for account information. Most likely some sort of scam to hack into the account.
