ATT Tower Outage. (Scam call) reported by


I received the call and while no information was requested they did send a text that appeared to be from the ATT SMS system. I spoke with a James Palmer, who stated that YESTERDAY there was a tower outage in my area and that customers had complained that they were experiencing DROPPED CALLS & SLOW DATA SPEED, but they were calling to inform me that the problem was fixed. I immediately called ATT and that is when my SIM card went bad and my ATT account PASSWORD as changed and I had to reset.

Verizon fraud alert scam. Very shady. (Scam call) reported by


Calling to alert me of an iPhone X that had been ordered on my account . Wanted to know if I knew anything about it. I was already thinking it was weird because he was shaky. He said he needed some info to get it resolved. I asked how he knew it was fraud and he said “because we have a fraud department and then they call us to get ahold of the people that they detected from.” I said , “ huh? That doesn’t even make sense.” Lol. Let me talk to the fraud department now then. Then he hung up on me. Hahaha

Thanks for the info, glad I didn't answer! I ignored the call the first time and they called back two minutes later. Left a message both times but it sounded like a 'butt dial' like someone was driving.
