this number claim to be from Verizon Wireless. the person told me I had been overcharged on my bill and wanted to refund money but wanted my pin number. I did not know my pin number I told him to mail a check and he hung up. I contacted Verizon Wireless and this was not one of their people calling she said never give your pin to a caller

A guy with a heavy accent, claiming to be from my cell phone provider. He said i had been overcharged and wanted to give me a refund. Did I want to he issued a check, or have it added back to my next bill? I told him to add it to the next bill. He asked if I am the account holder, and I said no. So he wanted to know who that was - I said I couldn't give out that information, and shouldn't he already have that info? He said another couple of things that I honestly couldn't understand due to his accent and a less-than great connection... when I told him I didn't understand what he was saying, he hung up on me. In spite of the community's positive review here, I'm considering this a phishing/scam attempt.

Scam call saying they are Verizon and that you were overcharged the previous month and they want to know how you want your refund. Since the caller had a heavy Indian accent, I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor also had a heavy Indian accent and just repeated the same script. I said since they could not verify they were Verizon, I wasn't giving them any info and hung up.

says they r from Verizon and u have been overcharged. ask how u want refund check or account credit, then will ask for pin. guess what, u don't have a credit and they want ur info.

Scam call. Person said he was from Verizon and that I had a credit on my account for overpayment. He asked if I wanted payment via a debit card or account credit. I said account credit, but told him now wasn't a good test to talk. He then hung up on me.
