I had an infection last year that required medical attention. I used an Uber to get me there and then signed in at the front desk. I did not take ambulance nor was I admitted to the ER. I ended up under observation and on medication for three days, and was billed over $10,000! I don't make more than $20,000 a year, so I wrote the hospital for debt forgiveness and luckily I got it. Yet, somehow, I get calls from these people telling me I still owe $1500 for an ER visit. Sure, Jan.

I used to receive calls from this number all the time. They stopped for a while. Until today. I checked my credit score on Credit Karma for the first time in nearly 6 months. I looked at the only derogatory remark I've got (which is from ARS And has been on my credit for nearly 2 years) and information for the amount that I owe them (a whopping $81). Within 1 hour, I received a call from ARS for the first time in months. So somehow, they are able to know when you've viewed your collections activity with them through Credit Karma. I'll now be deactivating my account with Credit Karma.
