Related to scammer claiming to be Excel Energy threatening cutoff (Scam call) reported by


Claimed that power bill had not been paid for 60 days serviceman on the way to cut off power in 30 minutes. Wanted payment through MoneyPak card of 498.23 ASAP. Call back was routed to Phoney “Excel Energy” rep. Did not make payment because Excel was not actually the current power company. Call was received by potential victim on her cell phone in MN immediately following hangup from original call from 800-516-8550. Identified as Scam Call by phone service provider.
