called stating that there had been suspicious charges on my account. Confirmed my address and had a code sent to my cell phone. The caller stated that the code was to verify my ID but was actually to activate apple pay on my account. I foolishly gave the code not looking at the message with it. Once I hung up and saw I had an email activating apple pay I locked my card. I shortly received 2 emails from my card stating that transactions had been denied on my locked card. I will be closing out this card and getting a new one.

That happened to me when I was setting up my card for Apple Pay. I have identity theft protection on my card that warns me and gives me a number to call. Hackers using Chase phone number. (Service) reported by


Phone number is from Chase Fraud Department. But I got a call from this number that was not chase. Hackers are using the banks phone number to try and get customers information. They need to verify a secure pin from chase they sent to my phone because they said there was some fraudulent transactions. Checked my app and did not see any transactions pending or processed. Hung up and call the bank directly and said they did not call me at all. They said that my credit card information might have been compromised so they just sent me a new card.
